So I can probably get away with only three playthroughs.
1. Exiled
2. Hand over evidence
3. Found innocent via persuasion on rallying the crowd

You have something against speaking on her defense? :?

Huh? I covered that w/ #3

Rallying the crowd and Shep speaking on Tali's defense aren't the same thing.  One is Shep speaking for her, the other is Kal and Veetor speaking for her.  Same result, but different path there.  Just seemed odd for you to skip the obvious resolution path.

But... but... it's what I do...

(also, you voiced an opinion, and I voiced a counter-opinion.  Almost like it's a forum or something.  LOL)

She said she didn't mind being exiled to protect her father's legacy.  And I play ME to craft a story with my character.  Conflict is interesting.  This creates conflict.  Now the challenge is for Shepard to either find a way to reverse this error or to compensate the best he can for someone he cares for.  That's fun for me.  It doesn't mean I don't care about Tali.  But I ran with her exile because it's story potential.

Oh, I understand.  I just don't approve.  There will be conflict aplenty in ME3 anyway, I suspect.

That's acceptable.

But you might shoot yourself in the foot for doing so in ME3.

Who knows...

This is why I hope the peace with the geth is a bargaining chip.  It would be a great resolution and totally in my Shepard's character to use.

It's very likely, actually.  Almost like she just doesn't want to live.

UNACCEPTABLE!

Agree.

I've never tried to give them the evidence and never will.
See Tali broken and upset is beyond my strenght. :?

It takes a heart like a block of frozen methane to ignore her "Shepard, please..." right before you make that choice.

I've heard her dialogues if that happens(on youtube), and it's most unpleasant.

No mercy on your soul if you choose this path.

Phil725 , that's because of a typo. "Persuasion or rallying the crowd"

And I ship Tali/Kal, so I prefer the rally. (FemShep player)

Is there even a way to keep her alive in the suicide mission non-loyal? Do you have to buffer her with non-loyal Mordin during the hold the line bit or something?

I think having Grunt and Garrus hold the line means she'll survive.

I want to hear this famed depressing dialogue...

I'd like that actually, it would be a lot more interesting than the diverging paths to the same resolution (peace) that I see happening.  I still don't see how Bioware could possibly justify a war option though, unless they set up an obvious failShep path :?

Possibly. They have to make it so those who can't import (shame upon thee) can play and finish the game, but in a less satisfactory manner.

Well, I think that ME's potential lies especialy in choices you make and their consequences you must bear.
So you have some custom Shepard in ME2 and ME3 but you will truly enjoy the game only if you buy all of them and make your own choices. I think that's what is BW trying to accomplish.

as much as I wish there was a way to keep non-loyal Tali alive,
I don't think it's possible.

I've heard that there are different dialogues for the Paragon/Renegade choices if you don't talk to the admirals before going to the Alarei.

Still, rallying the crowd is not a bad option. It does the job if you don't have enough points to do something else. And Kal and Veetor gets to stand in the spotlight for a few moments, too.Image IPB

See, I didn't talk to the admirals, so I think I couldn't use the geth war junk to my advantage.  I thought I had to rumble and roll to get there fast...ah, well.

Also, Kal'Reegar is a badass so I like seeing him in any action.

Did you see a video posted one time in thread where some guy was breaking up with Tali in all phases of their relationship and enjoying it?
I hate him even now. <_<

Well, if you have her in your squad...no, then she'll die on the platform...

Tough one.

Well, good thing that I'll never be in that situation, then.Image IPB

Zaeed, too, to be safe, I imagine.  I've heard of people losing Mordin even with all the sides of beef on the line.  But if Mordin is loyal, non-loyal Tali is first on the chopping block, I think.

I just don't know.  And have no interest in testing it.

After seeing the failShep they gave you for ME2, I'm sure that you will need to have the other games to fully enjoy the third.  That said, I also can't see them denying endings because of not having the other games.  The big choices that affect the story will probably be made in ME3.  That's the line that Bioware has to toe really.  Make it worth it to play the other games, without making it necessary.

OH!  Maybe don't recruit her until after Omega 4 and then jack up her loyalty mission?

Edit:  Wait, why am I even trying to figure this out?

No, I don't think so. Even if someone did, I wouldn't watch them, because I know what happens. Tali will be sad and depressed and talks in that low and not-caring tone that can shatter diamonds. That's more than enough to keep me away.
