It is, hobos always are more willing to come into complete strangers homes during Christmas out of a belief that said person is being especially generous this time of the year.

Completey true in my case. Those hobos never have to worry about any of their problems ever again after setting foot in my house.

It makes sense in the context of the game.  In ME1, she would have to feel a little out of place, and talking to an authority figure informally probably isn't something that would come naturally to her.  By the time ME2 comes around, you're great friends, and just calling him Shepard is fine.

No way. I didn't even know Garrus and Tali didn't say the exact same thing about the VI.

Well we all know we need Tali or Garrus to manage the Mako, so they're gauranteed to be inseparable from Shep during those missions...which includes every main quest, naturally.

The Mako interior is actually much higher and less wide than it looks, if you watch the Main Menu video in ME1
