see Im just the opostie I have a wonderfully aweful idea involving chiktikka mirandas room and a moderate amount of high explosive, not too much mind you don't want a hull breach, just the right amount so she can feel the after effects but the doc won't be able to helpAlphyn wrote...

This reminds me, I recently did my Ashley canon playthrough and I thought it was very odd that tali acted like I still wasn't in a relationship with Ashley, considering she was part of the Normandy 1 crew. This isn't really against tali, but It would have been nice to be able to "turn her down" by bring up Ash instead of simply telling her im not interested.

In MY opinion, and let stress that, you're entitled to your own opinion, I'm just presenting mine. Miranda is a Cerberus ****, and Jacob and Kelly are either liars, or ignorant.
Miranda treats Shepard like **** when she first meets him, despite saving his life, then does a heel face turn as soon as you get the ship. I don't buy it. She's just smiling at you to keep you placated. She doesn't have a problem with torture, played straight with what happens to Veetor if you give them to Cerberus. And Jack... she's a total **** to Jack. From their meeting on Purgatory, to the briefing on the Normandy, all the way to the fight. You KNOW she instigated that fight, and if you side with Jack, it becomes even more apparent that this is the case. Instead of apologizing to Jack for the atrocities Cerberus inflicted on her, she insults her and tries to get her kicked of the ship. Jacks' term "Cheerleader" is appropriate in my opinion, a stuck up **** who delights in causing unneeded Drama.
Jacob is either a fool or a liar. Probably both. With Veetor, he tells you Cerberus wont' hurt him. Meet Veetor later, you find out out they drugged him, forced him into a lucid state, and failed to give him food or water, leaving him an insane mess. He hates on Thane for being a mercenary, despite Thane actually trying to do some good in the world, when Jacob himself works for terrorists. Romancing him with a Femshep also leads to some interesting Dialogue. If you show too much concern for him, he tells you to get lost and go get it on with Garrus, who he refers to as a bleeding heart. Break up with him for Garrus, and he calls Garrus a Cuddlebone it what is CLEARLY a derrogotory way. Add to that his comment aboud AI to Tali in the Comm Room, and suddenly his popularity drops. Miranda and Jacob are terrorists, and it seems they somehow go out of their way to pick fights or insult every other member of the ship.
**** them.

I'll agree with you quite a bit with Miranda but I'm going to have to say that Jacob and Kelly are ignorant.
Both of them are the kind of people that idolize Shepard to a degree and attempt to follow in his footsteps and try to do something about the reapers that everyone else is quick to sweep under the rug. The only sin in my books is that they were to willing to join Cerberus without first looking into the ****ed up things Cerberus does. Pretty much the same senario as the entire crew.
Here's an example. Hezbollah is a major political power in Lebanon. One of their primary goals is the removal of Israel (Can't say I completely sympothize with Israel over their rahter aggressive behavior towards their arab neighbors). However, Hezbollah also provides a tremendous amount of social services to the Lebonese people.
Now say you have a person who joins Hezbollah not because they agree with Hezbollah but because Hezbollah is willing to put them in a positon to provide aid to his fellow suffering Lebonese. Does he deserve to die for that? Same thing for Kelly and Jacob. Nobody is willing to stand against the reapers so they join cerberus because they are the only ones willing to do something. On top of that since Cerberus is such a secretive organization it is entirely possible that Kelly (and to a lesser extent Jacob) do not have a good idea as to how pro-human Cerberus is. They are simply naive and misguided. That's no reason to hate them.

In Mass Effect 1 everyone you meet is skeptical to your abilities except Tali and Garrus.
You romance someone other than Tali (no romance) and in Mass Effect 2 they dump your ass, EXCEPT, Tali and Garrus.
When you first meet Miranda to speak with her, she killed a man in cold blood, and you have your gun pointed at her ready to shoot. When you meet Tali, you believe the Quarians are here to fight, then you see Tali, and are shocked. Tali speaks highly of you and says she wants to join you, Miranda however, doubts you and is skeptic.
Tali shows initiative and sticks to her duty just as Shepard would do. She joins you happily when she finishes her duty. Garrus joins you right off the bat. Ash or Kaidan, just abandon you because of your allegiance.
Every game so far have made the aliens show loyalty. BioWare basically points you in the direction of those two depending on your gender.
Tali and Garrus, ME3 and forever!

She ends up like Rael. She closes her self off to love entirely, having no real family left and nobody she has strong feelings for, she gets lonelier and lonelier over the years, the girl whose face nobody ever wanted to see, not her father, and not her captain. She stands strong against everything the galaxy throws at her, but it's for nothing. At the end of the day, she's still alone, sealed in a fabric prison to which she doesn't have the key. She'll stay on Shepard's ship and serve him, unwanted even by the one man in the universe who may have been willing to accept her, giving him everything she has, and recieving nothing from the universe in return.

TIME TO INTERRUPT DEPRESSING TIME. Shepard may not be in love with her in Bizzaro World, but damn it, he still trusts her, and if she brought up the face thing, you know he'd accept it. Because Shepard...is BRO.

Kelly and Jacob know exactly what they signed up for. If they don't, they're idiots, and they're useless on top of everything else.
And to use your analogy, let's turn it up to Eleven. ****sm. A group of people that performed atrocities Cerberus can relate to. If you willingly joined them to help your fellow Germans, knowing what kind of monsters they were, would that be right?
It's a grey area, and depending on the person looking at it, its either a light shade of grey or a dark shade. I see it as darker rather than lighter, and have no qualms about letting the crew die, and wouldnt' think twice about killing Jacob or Miranda should the need ever arise.
I have a save point right before you have that conversation with her, where she mentions the aliens have too much freedom around the ship.RiptideX1090 wrote...

I can see that neitherof us is going to convince the other. At least we can agree that nobody can top the awesomeness that is Tali and Garrus.
And that human dominated galaxy, or any single species dominated galaxy, is a bad idea.

You know what's alo funny? Miranda says that Tali's threat against the volus was immature. Yet she's the one who's fighting like a high school girl with Jack instead of just ending it peacefully.
The irony is more ironic than Iron Man.
