I'm still surprised that one of the advertisements knew I was going out with Tali.  I'm pretty sure they're using a method that should be illegal.

They're not too bright, since they just pick a female squadmate at random.  And they apparently haven't a clue who Jack is.

Edit:  Female squadmate in your current squad, that is.

There should be more of these. Like...an interview or something.

Well that's probably because she's not the sort of person who'd write down her name and/or details anywhere.
Those advertisments do freak me out. My favourite has to be "Shepard you've recently been dead.":P

She's been in prison, she's got a record.  That apparently the advertising kiosks can't access.

She probably doesn't have all that neat stuff like a birth certificate or a System Identification Number. Which I suppose is one reason she's criminal scum working with a guy working for Mr. Johnson The Illusive Man.

I'm glad to notice, that a quarian has more "popularity" on a citadel, than a prisoner.

WTH is going on here?  I've got an SR game tonight and the first thing I see on /tg/ today is a giant thread on stupid shadowrunner tricks.  Then I come here and get another SR reference busted out on me.

Big contrast on the Citadel all around:

Tali:  Remember how we first met?

vs.

Jack:  I got raped by five dudes in a bathroom.

Couldn't tell ya, chummer. It seems serendipity is alive and well in the Sixth World Matrix Tali thread.

Umm... Right.

I really can't think of anything what to say about that. But does this mean that quarians are treated better than human prisoners on the Citadel? :P

In fairness, what happened to Jack had nothing to do with the Citadel, other than it's apparently what she thinks of when she walks into a public restroom.

It occurs to me that Shepard's life has truly taken a turn for the strange. Not that it wasn't truly strange already, but mind you, these are Shepard's top two picks for love interests here.

Secondly, i'll bet there are a lot more people willing to be civil or even polite to quarians than fanfiction would Iadmit. Not that many, mind you, but i'd like to think there are more Shepard's and Dr. Michel's out there than Saren's and Harrot's.

Shepard is a healer at least my canon shep is. He has been through the **** so many times he can't stand by and let  smilar crap happen to others.and people who have already been there, Tali, Garrus, Jack, thise are the people he can really reach out to and bond with, they support each other.
Edit: thats one of the many reasons I romance Tali and even did one renegade play through with Jack.

Most people never meet a quarian and the ones that do (authority figures, outcasts, black marketeers, etc.) are more likely to be jerks than the average member of the galactic population, I think.

I adore Tali'Zorah Vas Normandy. She has it all in one sentient body ;) The style, tech smarts, leadership, weaponry, feelings/emotions, deep sympathy/empathy/compassion for other cultures and members, and a tantilizing knack to never give up on what she does best. I made a motivational poster to express who and what Tali'Zorah vas Normandy is. Not only is she a bombshell, she's a damn good squad mate and LI!

<Tali snip>

New blood is always welcomed here. ;)

I'm actually looking forward to the whole Shepard's mom thing since my shep was a spacer. Makes me very curious how she'll react.

Oh, right. You've missed quite a lot in your abscence.

1) Riptide and Jones went off and decided to write a fiction about Xen's pilgramage.
2) Riptide and Jones are indoctrinated by the Xenmance.
3) Everyone else is indoctrinated by the Xenmance.

It built from there.

Formis disagrees <_< only Reapers and beings similiar to them (If exist) are capable of Indoctrination.
Except Indoctrination exists only Talindoctrination which is much more stronger.

That did seem to be a world-class world class bonehead move on Jacob's part. But both Jacob and Miranda (and the entire Cerberus organization) don't see themselves as bad guys, which in my opinion strengthens them as characters. They see themselves as doing the right thing when no one else in the Galaxy would, and to a certain extent they are right. The Reapers are coming, but other than Cerberus there are precicely zero other teams/groups/organizations in the galaxy who are doing anything about it.

<SNIP>

I don't think that most of the bad guys see themselves as the real bad guys and beause everything is subjective you can't even say that something is clearly bad. The good deeds are what the society sees as something beneficial for the people and the evil deeds are something harmful for the people but each of us has different opinion on which deed is good and which is evil.

Cerberus has one goal - Progress for Humanity, but except the goal itself you must choose a way to achieve it. And here we get - Progress for Humanity at any cost, regardless of ohter races. They may think they're doing the best for Humanity but their opinion is not the only one and in the end, their opinion is not the one that matters. The important opinion is the one of Humanity and the Galactic society, because they will be affected by Cerberus and it's actions.
I agree they are the only group that is doing something with the Reaper threat but it's their previous actions and procedures which concerns me.

Reapers also don't think they are evil, they just do what they consider as the best for us.
(I can explain this more If you'll ask)

You know, look at it this way...

In Mass Effect 1 everyone you meet is skeptical to your abilities except Tali and Garrus.

You romance someone other than Tali (no romance) and in Mass Effect 2 they dump your ass, EXCEPT, Tali and Garrus.

When you first meet Miranda to speak with her, she killed a man in cold blood, and you have your gun pointed at her ready to shoot. When you meet Tali, you believe the Quarians are here to fight, then you see Tali, and are shocked. Tali speaks highly of you and says she wants to join you, Miranda however, doubts you and is skeptic.

Tali shows initiative and sticks to her duty just as Shepard would do. She joins you happily when she finishes her duty. Garrus joins you right off the bat. Ash or Kaidan, just abandon you because of your allegiance.

Every game so far have made the aliens show loyalty. BioWare basically points you in the direction of those two depending on your gender.

Tali and Garrus, ME3 and forever!

The goddamn truth. Right here.

I see your point and I can sign under this. ;)

I doubt this will ever happen. Bioware seems to have forgotten about Shepards origins in ME2 and probably will in ME3.

So far as the game has shown us that.

Now completely hopping to another thing which came to my mind.

The anomaly mission where you can save the last survivor from the Cyniad, scout ship for Idenna. Ysin'Mal, the captain of Idenna later sends his regards to you, mentions that how Shep saved Forzan.

"Upon completion of this task, the captain of the Idenna, Ysin'Mal vas Idenna sends a message to Shepard's private terminal to congratulate the team on their efforts to save one of the "newest and most honored heroes" of the Migrant Fleet."

Any idea why is she referred to be newest and most honored heroes? I can't remember she did anything particular in Ascencion.
