Jacob also went through a personality shift, but it was not as major and jarring.

Yeah. Cerberus is an xenophobic, terrorist organization led by a man who smokes, drinks whiskey, and bosses everyone around. But she still believes they only "Look out for humanity". It's almost as naive as Miranda believing that Cerberus is the human equivelant of the Asari commandos or Salarian STG.
Hey now, don't make me whip out a dog shelter metaphor on your ass.

I think Tali with Kal would be cute, but Kal needs to be more confident and actually use her name. Beyond that though, it has the workings of the conventional romance plot of one of the participants (Kal) being afraid to reveal interest because of some social convention or issue.
Maybe it's because he sees Tali as an admiral's daughter and knows that he'd catch a s**tstorm if he should hurt her feelings or in some other way, if they had a relationship of that kind.

Considering Kelly was basically an idealist fortune cookie, I never really spoke to her.
I still grin like an idiot everytime she dies.

Same here. I was wrong before, about the spoiler by a friend by the way. (Talked to my roommate). I was telling him about how there was a "big brother/little sister" sort of vibe after the trial. He disagreed.Goat_Shepard wrote...
I was completely surprised. Everything, Freedom's Progress, Haestrom's audio logs, the debriefing room with "I'm here for you, not Cerberus", didn't lighten the blow that Kelly dealt.
Then I talked to her after the loyalty mission. Our jaws hit the floor so hard mine bruised. Our next door neighbor heard the "Holy ****ing **** batman!" that tore out of us. I hit a bunch of side missions immediately to open up the rest of te dialogue, said goodbye to Miranda, and Talimanced my way through the game.

I sure hope Tali's cowboy-imitations wont be as bad as the STALKERs...

She already has a love. Keji.
But, yeah. I'd hit that if Tali wasn't around.

It was implied in her dialgoue with the Illusive Douchebag in the begining of the game, IMO. Once Shepard had the TIM seal of approval, plan A went into effect. It spectacularly failed (if paragon), but whatever.Collider wrote...
@uhdrnt: It's not so much that there is no reason at all for Miranda's shift, it's that it is not expressed whatsoever. I can speculate that it's because Shepard succeeded on the Freedom's Progress mission, but it's speculation since it is completely unsubstantiated in game. For all we know, Miranda could be more friendly because she likes being in her office.

Has to be implied by Miranda herself to count, I think. There was none from her. A simple "I didn't expect you would lead so efficiently, Commander...I apologize." or something of that sort. It still wouldn't be amazing (because Miranda slowly warming up to Shepard would make more sense and be less jarring), but it would help.uhdnrt wrote...
