It is a wealth that needs to be mined more regularly I think.

And we both know Joker at least would try to do SOMETHING embarassing to Shepard. Elcor stripper or Varren Love Doll or something at least.  Garrus would likely be a co-conspirator.

Oh God... What the ****?

Elcor Stripper: Insincere flirtation. You like what you see?

Shepard: I swear, Joker is going to be a puddle by the time I'm through with him.

What should Shep do at his bachelor party, besides getting drunk?

I really just imagine Shepard, Garrus, Joker, and maybe Zaeed sitting around playing Skyllian Five and kicking back a few beers.

Aw, Kenneth is not allowed to join the fun?

How about....Hawthorne?

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

There are probably plenty of others who'd want to come, but I don't feel like writing up a guest list.

How about Conrad Verner too! And Corporal Jenkins! If he was alive that is.

Actually, no.

I just finished chapter five of Reckoning and handed it off to Rip for edits.

I'll take a peek now.

I would go find a Bush 'Mission Accomplished' motivational but I'm too lazy.

Repostan! For Liv's benefit - I don't think he was around when I posted it before.

Control Breached
Prompted by Nytefyre410

--------------
I'll be damned to hell for the second time if I let this happen, Shepard thought to himself as he listened to the admirals over the speaker as he and Tali returned to the fleet. Sharing a glance with his companions, he sped up and punched the interface on the door.

Not waiting for it to open completely, he stormed into the meeting square. The quarians near the door who saw his entrance murmured to each other and a path quickly opened. None would stand before him; the commander's biotic field was flickering around him erratically as he rushed to the admiralty board.

Tali and Garrus shared a glance. It was unusual for Shepard to get this worked up. They reached the square, and Shepard stalked up to the podium. Tali matched his stride and walked with him up to the podium as Garrus took a seat on the stairs to watch the fireworks.

"Sorry we're late...."
-----------

"Have you seen him this worked up before?" She asked the turian after the trial. Shepard was up in the cockpit of the shuttle, discussing something with Miranda as they returned to the Normandy.

Garrus nodded. "Once or twice. Remember when you got knocked unconscious by a pirate sniper on Klensal? When we were approaching the pirate base?"

"Yes, I remember getting hit, then waking up in the infirmary."

"Well, you missed all of the fun on the ground," he stated with more than a touch of sarcasm. "Shepard evac'd you, then brought me and Wrex back down to the planet. During the drop, his biotics were flickering like that."

Garrus paused, before continuing, "When we got to the base, he used the Mako to take out the towers. Then, he blew the doors to the base open." Tali's eyes widened; that was overkill, and something she couldn't picture her commander doing. The turian wasn't done with his story though.

"Shepard told me to snip anyone that was disabled," Garrus said with a chuckle. "Then he and Wrex ran in, and used their biotics to lift or knock down every single mercenary they saw. It was a shooting gallery for me."

Tali shook her head. "That was reckless."

"You have no idea," the turian agreed. "Shepard just stood there, out in the open. It was surreal; I think the pirates were actually more afraid of him than they were of the krogan. He didn't calm down until all the merc's were dead."

"After we got back, he checked on you after setting a course for the other location that human on the Citadel told him about. Once Chakwas told him you were ok, he calmed down," Garrus finished.

"Really?" She asked. The turian nodded. "I remember I was surprised when he took Ashley and Wrex with him instead of anyone else."

"Well, I was exhausted," Garrus replied. "That, and he told me to keep an eye on you." He nodded an affirmation when the quarian just stared at him.

Her gaze turned to the cockpit speculatively. He cared that much, even back then? she thought to herself. I should tell him...no, stop being selfish, she reprimanded herself. It was just the same concern he gave everyone...

But try as she might, a small flicker of warmth erupted in her chest. Her commander cared; truly cared. It might have been an unrealistic dream, but Tali spent the rest of the trip thinking on her commander, and everything she longed to tell him but did not dare speak.

If only...

Holy****holy****holy****holy****!

Rachni out of ****ing nowhere and the prerequisite doomsday prophesies.

****'s getting very real very fast.

Best part?

While the inspector and I had lingered immobilized, however, we and the doctor had forgotten Miss Zorah. Somehow she had contrived to slip ever-nearer to Dr. Saleon, and during a particularly florid gesticulation on his part, nimbly plucked the strange talisman directly from his bony grasp. For a moment chaos reigned, a frightful din of alien buzzing and chitinous scrabbling. The creature on the altar surged almost into perfect visibility, but shrank back once more, this time when Miss Zorah herself presented the curious emblem before it. Instinctively, I understood that now it was at our mercy, just as we had only moments before been to Dr. Saleon.

Miss Zorah's all like, "****, please."

I am now wishing my canon Shepard was a Sentinel. It fits his character perfectly. He likes kicking ass and controlling the situation in a variety of ways. The Sentinel's versatility would be perfect for him.

Wedding Reception, Bride and Grooms table

Samara: Oh, this takes me back.
Zaeed: My line, you blue tart.
Samara: *ignoring that* When I was a mercenary, I knew this handsome young quarian flight mechanic...
Shepard: *leans back in chair, head hanging over the side* Oh keelah...
Tali: *leans forward on table, facepalming* Sweet Jesus...
Samara: He was such a honest and vibrant soul. Rather charming, really. We never had anything long term, but I remember one night I sweet talked him to my quarters... *Samara pauses, staring out into her memory with one of her characteristic quiet smiles*
Shepard: *barely resisting the urge to make the hurry up handmotion* I assume you took him down gently?
Samara: Actually, it was he who showed me a thing or two. Oh, I made a few moves on him, left a couple of marks...
*Shepard loudly groans. Garrus just chuckles*
Samara: But then he said "Excuse me," and left my quarters. I thought I'd moved too fast for him and scared him off, but a minute later the artificial gravity in my quarters was off. Of course, he didn't tell me this first, so I was kind of suprised when I started floating in midair, trying to scramble to hold onto something. *contented sigh* I was in the middle of trying to correct myself with biotics when he re-entered the room, leaping gracefully as you please to catch my flailing form...
Tali: Oh please make this stop.
Samara: You wouldn't normally think about it, but quarian toe claws can grip quite well to ceiling plating.
*Everyone at the table freezes, Kasumi and Miranda choking on their drinks. Jack grins madly. Shepard and Tali slowly make eye contact.*
Samara: *reaches for a glass of water, then takes a sip* Something to think about for later, Tali.

The Sentinel is truly the jack of all trades.

Although, it almost feels like cheating when I've upgraded my Tech Armor.

The second the enemy depletes it, I can just activate it again, and when that one's gone, the power has recharged so I can do it yet again.

I don't think I can formulate an appropriate response to both Samara's story and the implications therein.
