I know this is a consequence of the setting itself, but her recruitment mission was colorless and dead. Samara's had this strange, rich purple or blue to it. There was also nothing particularly interesting in the environment in Tali's recruitment mission. Just ruins and a bit of stuff left around by the Quarian science team. Granted, Samara's recruitment mission wasn't breathtaking in that department.
And there were many more people to talk to in Samara's too. There are also more choices in involved. The only substantial choice in Tali's loyalty mission would be whether to tell Kal to stand down.
Okay, I understand there. My perspective was this: Samara's recruitment is a dock/port setting. These are pretty much a staple of FPS/TPS games. Seen one, seen them all.
Tali's got me wondering: what did this colony used to look like? What's with the spires? Was this built into a mountain as an exception or a rule? Also, if you did step out into the light, and look off into the distance, the view is something else. That brings me to the light: like I said, this was one of the few missions where there was a nice tactical element to the environment.
In fairness, Samara's was another one, with those toxin containers. Those more irritated me, though, since you have to hang back a long time waiting for them to dissipate.
