I know this was in jest, but it reminded me of how I dislike Tali being likened to a princess (when it is done in a serious manner).Gust4v wrote...

Probably not. It's extremely slow, and not particularly exciting. I was just curious how much into the background you'd delved.FatherNestor wrote...
Honestly? No.

Anyway, he trolled the thread so hard a couple weeks ago that Niceral (another troll) got trolled into defending Tali. It was bizarre and hilarious.
Good times, indeed.

I got it on sale for $5 (ME 1) so it was a pretty good deal for me. I only got on the ME band wagon a few months ago. Steam DL is pretty painless. only problem I have with it is I like Hard copies of my games. Actual disks and manuals. Call me old school but I like having that stuff.
Yeah, I'm with you on that. I like having the physical stuff, too. I might buy ME1 on PC from amazon, as well if there aren't any issues with it that way... I'm not sure, though. Does Steam offer a disc order option along with download? Or is it all digital content?

It was a research outpost, so we never really got to see what sort of housing they would actually have for a colony. I do feel that this may have been the only purpose of the ruins we got to explore, the scaffolding, towers, gemoetric shapes and stone quary look made it look very industrialized. And I also thought the solar radiation was a nice touch.NuclearBuddha wrote...
Tali's got me wondering: what did this colony used to look like? What's with the spires? Was this built into a mountain as an exception or a rule? Also, if you did step out into the light, and look off into the distance, the view is something else. That brings me to the light: like I said, this was one of the few missions where there was a nice tactical element to the environment.

True, but I can't help but wonder what the blasting solar radiation has stripped away over time. The place could have been lavishly painted or otherwise decorated, and now it's all gone.Azint wrote...

Considering I do know that I am argumentative (and many times just for the sake of argument), it's a little less obvious because there is some truth in it.NuclearBuddha wrote...

I did also wonder those things, but they were very transitory and there wasn't much in the way of mystery in the entire mission. I did, however get a sense of how bad the plight of the Quarians were. They were sent on a seemingly innocuous mission and even then have to face their slayers.Tali's got me wondering: what did this colony used to look like?
What's with the spires? Was this built into a mountain as an exception
or a rule? Also, if you did step out into the light, and look off into
the distance, the view is something else. That brings me to the
light: like I said, this was one of the few missions where there was a
nice tactical element to the environment.

Did you know the famous pyramids in Egypt were once covered in marble blocks that gave them a flat, white appearance? To better reflect the sun, which the Egyptians revered. The Greek sculptures that have come to be the idealized images of classical beauty were actually painted in bright colors, too.NuclearBuddha wrote...

It makes me wonder if they may have anything like that in Rannoch.
