Let me just say that I would NEVER condone torture by any government or military force in the entire world.

However... if an individual needs to use torture, to save someone elses life, or for revenge, by all means, go for it. Just be ready to live with the consequences... which may invariably be a lot worse than a little jail time...

Spectres are strangely bereft of that caveat... and as such... I'd gladly use it on those who needed it.
