The Suicide Mission was a lot like that for me.

The only thing I regret doing on Insanity is picking Adept as my class. Goddamn, that one sucks...

Some missions, like Haestrom, I'm okay with on Insanity with any class, but that's because Haestrom is pretty easy.

I use Tali as distraction, mostly. Combat Drone ahoy. But people keep saying she murders with the shotgun, so I'm going to try that in my Sentinel playthrough.

If you tell Reeger to stand down and you take it slow.

If you have him fight with you? Racing against the clock to keep him from dying is... well... it's a rush. You feel like a total badass when you pull it off though, without using the Cain or Widow.

You need to manage her though. The combat AI in ME2 is terrible when it comes to shotguns(but it works in Grunt's favor though). Once shields start to get beaten up or are down, you need to command a cover or a ED.

Automatic weapons with cryo ammo. Does WONDERS.

Well, I'd rather not have to play 6hrs a day to get decent enough to actually make it through an entire playthrough on Insanity without dying several dozen times per mission, thanks. Not sure how you're helping me.

So what do you play the game for? Fun?

And I'm just saying you won't be l337 until you do get over those fear demons, and when you do the feeling of self-worth will grow exponentially!

I have trouble with the Reaper IFF mission even on Casual sometimes. I'm abysmal at husk-fighting I am hopeless with CQC in this game. Absolutely hopeless.

I'm almost 30. I'm not going to waste all that friggin time getting good at a game. I already wasted too much time in my life with that kind of crap.

My 1337 days are long past.

EDIT: Besides, if I'm going to sink lots of time into a game, it's going to be spent modding said game.

I used the Blackstorm,
but they are so annoying on insanity,
they're like a swarm of rats with shields.
HOW THE HELL DO THEY HAVE SHIELDS!

I will say that using the fully upgraded tech armor that blows the hell up (assault armor?) on Sentinel is really nice against husks when they swarm you.

Here's a hot tip for ya: When you're going to destroy the Reaper's core, don't walk away from the door. Just stay there, kill the husks (they won't respawn) and shoot the exposed core until it explodes.

Heavy shockwave for me!
But don't use it in the Collector base, when the first Scion comes with husks. Eventually one of the husks will fly out of the "map" and doesn't die, just disappears and you just can't advance before it dies. And you can't kill it in any way.

Yeah, I always back my ass up against the door and try to shoot them before they can close to melee range. You get smoked if you move away from the door, oh god.

I wish you could kite to a zone load, because then I could have endless hours of fun shouting "TRAIN TO ZONE OH GOD FRIGGIN TRAIN TO ZONE" over and over Shame that there wouldn't be any clueless people hanging out by the zone to get destroyed, though.

Reminds me of my very first playthrough and doing the Reaper IFF. I ran up to Legion (who is knocked the hell out) going "Oh god oh god how do I fix him oh god husks everywhere WAKE UP GETH BUDDY" and then spent five minutes kiting the husks praying my squad would kill them.



This seems to be a trend for me in my first playthrough of a game: I always end up doing something moronic and have to kite something scary for a while.
