Yeah, in ME1, almost all Renegade actions had bad consequences in ME2, while almost none of the Paragon did. (Except for saving the Council, in my opinion)

I really hope they'll change it.

I agree with this, SO MUCH.

Well, Bioware does claim that being paragon = ultimate hero, while renegade = ultimate badass.

I honestly don't see any Paragon actions coming back to bite your ass. Unless the Rachni side with the reapers or some stupid **** like that.

I can see both choices having pros and cons...

For example, the Collector base. If you don't have the krogan, the Rachni, and the Quarians behind you when th eReapers show, having blown up the base would leave you with no way to stop the reapers, and you'd lose. Keeping the base insures that Shepard can upgrade himself and interface with the Reapers ala The Matrix Revolutions. Just one possible example. It would be cool if things got THAT convoluted.

In an ideal Bioware-esque RPG, in my opinion, the majority of "paragon" and "renegade" options all have pros and cons. This would help against the sense that there is a "right" and "wrong" answer. I would take Bhelen and Harrowmont for an example. Bhelen's a cruel king, but he's progressive. Harrowmont's a kind king, but he's traditionalist.

I'm pretty sure Kikai is on the Dark Side so welcome aboard. I think some of the ones from two might. Personally I think rewriting the Geth is bad Juju. And even though my Shepard will always destroy the Collector Base I think it might have some consequences. I don't think it's a good idea to keep it but I think I'm wrong. And I plan on curing the Genophage but I KNOW that one will bite the galaxies ass later. I'm doing a few things that are Paragon because I think they are needed but it's only till the Reapers are gone then we're screwed.

Injestion only carries a RISK of a reaction. Judging from Tali's post mission dialogue, it was minor. :innocent:

In all honesty, the player should know what's a bad move or not.

Betraying Tali = Bad move (unless you Renegade speech the admirals, then alright)
Killing Council = Debatable, but causes a lot of aliens to hate humans/not want to support humanity. You be the judge.
Giving base to cerberus = Bad move, giving a terrorist organization sentient technology? Derp.

It's the facts of life gentlemen. Be an ass hole, you get an ass holes pay.
