I suppose that's true :( It's just.. the one thing about that entire scene that squicks me is the damned eyes. Probably because of my prosthetic eye and knowing what awful, awful things can happen due to increased mucous production with lack of proper irrigation *shiver*

Piling Speculation upon Speculation:

The entire point of the metal connectors are to induce a link, however poor, that can be exploited into returning NO information to the cognitive functions of the subject.  Thus, their primary and subconscious are able to more perfectly meld with the Geth Neural Network.
