Garrus: *looks over his shoulder* What about that last one?
Shepard: I'm already Highlander good, but i'm still not Wolverine good.
Garrus: What?
Shepard: Nevermind.

Personally, I support confrontations ending with the LIs decking Shep and going out for drinks if he tries to have both again. I only like Shep when I'm romancing Thane.

I was about to get irritated and bring out the "he was dead, for Christ's sake!" argument, but then I took the time to read your entire post.

Yeah, doucheShep deserves a sock on the jaw.

And in any case, Horizon would be considered a bteak up by most people. I don't care *very* much because I ship Tali/Kal and it's Tali, Liara, and Miranda who function as my self-inserts. Shep's a bit of an afterthought, especially MaleShep.

That's just because Jennifer Hale pwns Mark Meer, but I still have to play as maleShep, cuz otherwise I wouldn't get my Talimance, and I just can't do that.

hehe i agree. honestly tohugh I like Marks performance, i don't see why people slate it:(
seems real enough to me, and I like the way he's so serious all the time, some would call it monotonous but I really like his performace, imho its better than Jennifer Hale, she just sounds too aggressive all the time imo. I prefer the male hero, it just seems more 'fitting' for me.

plz no hate :crying:

I'm not hating, I never sad I had a problem with Mark Meer, I just think Jennifer's the better VA overall

lol no i meant no hate directed at me for what i said :P

Playing thru our backgrounds would b good 4 fleshing shep out. he needs to be shown as having problems - or experiences that would cause such things.

I would support this so hard.  I'm interested to see just what's so renegade about the Earthborn origin.

Such blandness that shep is neednt come w/ the territory of having moral choices. shep needs 2 be shown as vulnerable and flawed as any human is.

I'm sure we'll get this in ME3, with the outcomes of the decisions made in the previous installments. Besides, i don't see anything wrong with him being 100% confident and kick ass, although you are right, come more human flaws to be shown would be nice.

Yeah they should definitely make a bigger deal about the backstory

Agreed, and I can't take her voice seroisly when she is trying to be "evil" I heard it KOTOR and it hasn't changed one bit.

well who knows what in store for us? maybe they have this planned in some DLC, maybe the other ME games they say they will make may cover it...

Wait, what?

They interact quite a bit in Redemption. And, if it's any consolation, Shep/Tali is usually my side pairing of choice there.

the prob is that it makes 4 an uninteresting character. im playing ME3 4 the other characters, not shep.

hale is w/out a doubt the better voice actor. Buther voice doesn't seem "marine" to me.

well I agree, i have no problem with him being a 'man of steel' and I think that all the emotion is there where its needed, I want my shep to be 'someones shoulder to cry on' not an emotional wreck, i mean... loko at the Tali romance, she shows more than enough emotion there to keep me happy.

I see.  I've read Redemption but didn't think...  Well, anyway.

Oh, no consolation needed.  Everyone's got their different take on things.

Edit:  And wasn't Liara kinda creeped out and regretting turning over Shep in the last issue?

I don't think so. They seemed very focused on making the gap filling DLCs. And when the trilogy ends, so does the story about Shepard.

I can agree on that Hale has a hard time acting like she's evil without making me giggle/laugh.

A little emotional vulnerability would be nice. He's been brought back essentially to die again, Ash/Kaidan hate him, the galaxy treats him as a joke, etc. Besides, think of the potential for the Talimance equivalent of the locker scene.

Really? I couldn't take here seriously in KOTOR because I didn't like her character. I never actually finished that game. I could try again, but I get the feeling it'd go a lot like this:

Bastila: Well. Your choice was good, but I want to remind everyone my choice was still valid, and in fact a good plan in it's own right.
Carth: Probably. Now we should probably get outta here before more bad guys show up.
Revan Male PC: Why can't we be together, Mission? It's the age thing, isn't it?
Mission: I didn't develop this game, but... yeah. That's probably it.
Bastila: But I'm better at everything!
Male PC: Hush you. *to Mission* Dammit! Look, if you're old enough for us to meet, then run around in a sewer and kill everything down there, you should be legal enough to date!
Mission: It's a real shame, isn't it?
Bastila: You know, I think we have a bond in the Force. That means we belong together forever, doesn't it?
Male PC: Not rea-
Bastila: I think it does. I'll bet Jedi Masters would agree with me and everything.
Male PC: This honestly wouldn't be so bad if it turned out the Elf Druid in Neverwinter Nights 2 wasn't the only LI and Neeshka wasn't available.
