Is it the same as it is for the pc? In the pc version squadmates shoot crazy fast and accurate with it.

Now, I only play on the console, but I would assume it works the same way as it would on the PC. But I assure you, squadmate snipers will make good use out of it.

I bought it but have yet to use it.

It buffs your shields, every piece adds a small boost to your shieilds, wearing the whoel set I assume would make a decent difference. For players like me who has had a lot of history on games like Halo, I generally take it as instinct to find cover whenever my shields go down, this is a nice upgrade.

I havent actually done it myself on the pc, But I have seen videos of how insane it is when they use it. How is the sniper though otherwise? 

It's okay, I think of it as a very specialized Vindicator. I still prefer the Widow and Viper though, since they actually do behave like sniper rifles.
