Planned to romance Liara first.  Heard Tali was available.  Went "PFFFFFFFFT forget Liara".  Accidentally romanced Ashley, but we never did the physical deed.

It just sucks, I'm a completionist so I had to get the Paramour achievement in ME1.

My first ever ME1 playthrough can be forgiven, though, right? He took one for the team (i.e. the rest of my Shepards )

Me. Because I didn't know Tali was a romance in ME2 at the time. (Hell, I didn't even know there was going to be  a second game)

And because I want to see what happens if I romanced someone before Tali..

My main shep did Ashley,and my biotic shep did Liara. I had no Femshep to try out Kaiden.

You mean Tali in general, right? If they dropped Tali and Garrus completely there's no way I'd play ME2, but if they weren't romance options I'd still play it and love it.

You can always start the romance with Ash, then nuke her... that seems to work pretty well. Nothing really gets started, and it keeps Liara out of your hair.

I recall the dialogue choices being confusing for those parts, last playthrough I accidently ended up siding with Ashley over Liara or something when I didn't want to.  Hopefully that doesn't happen this time with Tali, I'd have to reload the game and play a lot of stuff over
