What's to laugh at? People must be hard up for entertainment.

Using your real name makes the Shepard an extension of you, in fact, my brand new one and only canon has just been named after me for that effect.

Having Shepard say the three big words for the first time in the middle of foreplay was a bad idea.

I didn't see it like that.  Seemed pretty clear, even in the chapter that the two events weren't related, and that the realization that he did love her was more from the events that they had just experienced together.  Once he realizes it, the current setting was as good as any to tell her.  That was my interpretation at least, I never saw any chance that he was saying it for the wrong reason.

Well yeah, that's what I tried to get across.

The fact that the whole setting might put what he said in doubt as to it's sincerity just bothers me.
