So what would quarians be called using binomial nomenclature? Few of my ideas:

Maximus lateralis - largest side (dem hips!)

Deino dactylos - terrible digit (dat vestigial toe!)

Velox vernus - swift spring (dat pounce!)

Dulcis morphos - sweet shape (dat everything!)

Note: This is SO not how new species would be named. Just chose latin words that seemed to fit.

It seems rather condesending to place a taxonomic identifcation on a sapient alien species based on our own lexicon.

Pel did. Cerberus is not one man.

Problem with this is that TIM doesn't condemn these actions. As long as it achieves their goals, it's all fair game in his eyes. Of course we are going to have people like Pel. Hell when you shut down Overlord, TIM says he doesn't condone his actions, but doesn't condemn them either, which is a meaningless statement. He then follows up with lamentation that they lost years of research.
