Damn you, making me remember drifting... And reckoning is going to get worse? And here I was thinking that it could only get better from here... I wanna know how your gonna make it worse than "betrayed by the person she loves, sold in to slavery and sentenced to certain death in a ****house".

I need some happy fanfiction for a change... Guess I'll just have to wait for the next chapter of Razors Edge...

Reclamation is happy. :? (Also involves badass Xen taking out a geth Prime with her assault rifle)

Oh heck, top o' the page, it's been a while!

Exactly. We just didn't want people walking into a trap, like they did with Drifting. Drifting is horrible because of what happens to Rin.

Reckoning... well... we'll see.

That's not necessarily a bad thing, though. I read Drifting because everyone here said it was horrifying and sad, and some people even said it should have never been written in the first place.  And that made me actually more interested in it. I wanted to see if it could show me those kind of emotions. But I guess it was spoiled for me in that way too, because I read it expecting the worst, and even if I felt something for some parts, it wasn't that bad.

If you keep this up, there are probably going to be some people that won't get the same emotional attachment as the rest, because...well, I guess they sort of reinforce themselves unintentionally to face it. Can't tell if anyone will. That's at least what I did.

Ah yes, reclamation. I have a subscription to it on FF.net, I don't feel it is as well writen as Razors edge, drifting or reckoning... I'm not saying I don't like it, I just don't find it as entertaining. Anyone care to write a remake of snake in the mud (I think this was it, it was by Rage anyways) with tali instead of Ashly? Would make for a good story.

Drifting was impactful because of it's shock value. Jones and I wanted to break away from that. We wanted people to feel something, despite knowing it's going to be bad. This isn't a horror story, it's tragedy. You know it's going to end badly, and you're going to prepare for that accordingly. We want people to go in, expect the worst, and somehow, still come out feeling crummy. It's less about the thrill, and more about the soul behind it.

We'll see if our tactic pays off... or if we **** it up in the end.

Could go either way.

I was just trying to supply teh happehs... Like:
Calinstel's series
Thelacan's stories
NCLanceman's minifics
Almost all Sergio's fics
Slim Chances of Success (Dammit Mandalore, finish the damned story!)
Five plus Three (Again, unfinished)
In Search of Aspirin (Unfinished, though updates have had huge gaps before)
And semi-funny/happy, also unfinished: On the Liberating Effects of Alcohol
A reasonable story with plenty cuteness that could use some more support, OC's human+quarian: Unexpected Interest
Also, this is just pure awesome, happiness and cuteness: Blze001's story (With quarian female OC's, an ice-queen and a completely adorable hyper-optimistic one that likes kittens)

Also, this:

Generally in a tragedy someone has to die, and there is no one in the story right now who I would mourn the loss of, except Xen of course, but she can't die. So I don't know how your gonna make it more tragic than it is already.

This thread is scary.

On the point of my post however. Does anyone else feel bitter about the choice in Tali's mission. I mean I just shouted at the Admirals in 10 out of my 11 playthroughs so far ( and I only gave it in my 11 th to see if anything changes in ME3, but I don't have high hopes on that ), but it still won't change their foolish plans for war and that is why I don't like just sweeping under the rug what Rael'Zorah did.

Whats so scarry about it?

I always give them the paragon shouting then tell them to not got to war. They find out about the experiments anyway. Thats actually the way I woudl have played it. Give the public the version you see wiht the paragon shouting then I woudl have taken the Admrials to a private room and told them the truth. So they can at the minimum get the data for defense purposes if they are going to be stupid. However, with the paragon route I highly doubt they will go to war. Tali gains huge popularity, and Tali knows about the Geth, and there willingness to make peace and that they are infact rebuilding the homeworld for the return of the creators.

But it's the best solution, I don't like it either, but the results are horrible.
Tali gets traumatised, and afterwards she says that it's divided the Migrant Fleet (half is going out to offer peace to the geth, the other half is preparing for war); so in short, it'd make the quarian race go extinct.
It does prevent Daro from going through with her plans though. (She says that it's become too much of a risk now)
The only one happy about it is Shala, 'cause she "Doesn't give a vorcha's ass about the fleet" when it means being overprotective towards Tali.

Not to mention, Tali can get whatever the heck she asks for (and what she's too selfless to ask for, too).

I usually pick "Rally the crowd" because then Shepard says that Tali deserves better than being a cover for a meeting about the geth problem, and how she fought for everyone on Haestrom and the Citadel.

I won't argue about which option is better, because I don't care. If it works the way I want it, then it doesn't matter.

Meh, I like both the ULB and LLR options, simply because RIGHTEOUS FURY! (And "I love watching you shout"/"I think it was good for them", d'awwwwww ^_^)
Rally the crowd diminishes Shepard's position as Tali's only beacon of hope. (I wouldn't go as far as get her exiled, but I do like Shepard being the only person who actually cares about Tali and is the only one able to solve her problems)

Yes, but those don't fail, as long as you've been a good Talimancer/TaliDarogade. (Also, not talking to the admirals (Sorry Daro :crying:) results in an unbelievably epic ULB speech.)
