See, unlike the rest of you, I'm not too worried about my favorite character dying, because he can just restore from a backup :3

Because Alexandra Shepard has given EDI standing orders to let Legion through the firewalls for the purpose of running periodic backups and Legion has standing orders to run a backup before any mission he is chosen to go on.

Listen, this is my Mass Effect fantasy world; it does what I tell it to :crosses arms:

I liked Wrex well enough, he's just not one of my favorites.

I'm not really worried about my favorite characters dying. Even Thane is unlikely to die before the end of ME3, if you ask me. I would not buy the game, though, if the characters I like aren't back.

Maybe you should go talk to the Ash/Kaidan and Liara fans about that...poor bastards. Ah, they whine too much anyway.

You could argue that for all of the characters actually.  I for one really want to see the rise and maturity of Urdnot Grunt,  I think that would be a great story.

I have a feeling that the ultimate trajectory of his story (not within the confines of ME3, though) involves him stepping over Wrex's cooling, bullet-riddled corpse so he can get to that rubble-throne.

I see it in a similar fashion, although not with the same sort of cold mercilessness that you're implying.  More about him learning what it means to be "pure krogan" and Wrex using his dying breaths to bestow clan leader status onto Grunt and lecturing him on krogan pride and honor.  Something epic and heart warming...sorry but I find krogan (and Grunt in particular) to be absolutely adorable.

Sure, there may be some sentimentality in the scene, but I still think the only way Wrex's butt is leaving that throne is in a bodybag, and the only krogan crazy enough to manage it is Grunt.  That and it provides a nice "future built on the bones of the past" image.

I find it hilarious that basically no one talks as if Wreave (or whatever his name is) is the Urdnot clan leader.

Then again, I didn't even like Wrex in ME1 and I let him live.

In my CanonFemShep's world, Wrex lives and Kaiden dies. Because that's just how things are and she's a total Paragon and Kaiden was being really creepy to her.

I can understand the unhappiness, but the vitriol is what saps my sympathy.

Same outcome over here.  Completely different thought process leading up to it.

Ashley or Kaidan + Liara have to be alive, so it's not quite the same thing.

This would have been a perfect moment to post the Legion-toss.  But instead I offer grudging acknowledgement.  This time.

I'm still deciding whether Wrex lives in my canon playthrough.

I saved Kaidan in my canon playthrough because I believe he was more useful than Ashley (lore wise, not gameplay wise).

My Femshep, was Gibbed editored into having Ashley be the suvivor and Udina as councilor and wrex being alive. Mostly because I never seen what AShley says to a femshep, and what Udina says if he's on the council. Can you believe, it's pretty much the same scene with Anderson beside some dialog changes...

I was referring to you saying that you wouldn't buy the game if your favorites weren't in ME3.  It's just what every freaking Ash/Kaidan and Liara fan moans and groans about since the day they got to Horizon/Illium.  As an Ash-Lover I understood at first, but now I kind of hate Ash with a burning passion becomes of those mopes.  If you listen you can still hear them whining a few threads over right now.

My attitude is that could possibly be me in a couple years if BW is feeling cruel, so I try to just ignore them.

I should do that with my Sentinel playthrough so I can meet Wrex.

I've never really decided what's final, except that everyone lives, Tali as romance, blowing up the Collector base, and Garrus shoots Sidonis in the back of the head, reprogram the Heretics and...yeah, that's pretty much it.

Aside from the hardcore, it's hard to imagine people who didn't like any of the squad in ME2. It's all a matter of opinion though.

I disassociate the characters from their fans. I'm not going to let some grumpy or hostile people ruin my game experience. For all of the trolls who are Miranda or Jack fans, I still love both characters without factoring them in. Some Liara fans may be a little uppity, but that doesn't stop Liara from being how she is presented in the game. So forth and such, etc.

it's pretty easy to do, take a save flag the "finished ME 2 flag if you don;t have it already. then in the plot -> ME 1 tab flag the changes you want. Save and start a new game, goto import from ME2 and point it to the modded save file.

Those screenshots I took for you were made with a edited Shep.

It's spreading!

Haha!  Wow, I guess I'm not crazy getting that impression.  I have this theory that it's the "femShep" thing that makes them that way.
