I was referring to you saying that you wouldn't buy the game if your favorites weren't in ME3.  It's just what every freaking Ash/Kaidan and Liara fan moans and groans about since the day they got to Horizon/Illium.  As an Ash-Lover I understood at first, but now I kind of hate Ash with a burning passion becomes of those mopes.  If you listen you can still hear them whining a few threads over right now.

Aside from the hardcore, it's hard to imagine people who didn't like any of the squad in ME2. It's all a matter of opinion though.

I disassociate the characters from their fans. I'm not going to let some grumpy or hostile people ruin my game experience. For all of the trolls who are Miranda or Jack fans, I still love both characters without factoring them in. Some Liara fans may be a little uppity, but that doesn't stop Liara from being how she is presented in the game. So forth and such, etc.

I take the same view, I just ignore them. and say what I want to say to the other folks.

Haha!  Wow, I guess I'm not crazy getting that impression.  I have this theory that it's the "femShep" thing that makes them that way.

My "canon" Shep has two versions, the only difference being whether they romanced Thane or stayed faithful to Kaidan. Otherwise, it's pure Paragon with everyone surviving.

I did it because I had no other choice.

I really wanted that geth data dialogue on Freedom's Progress and that dialogue later in the romance, and since ME1 just won't work, I had to look at my options.

I have to say I do miss a few things from ME1. Although it can't really be helped, there's that "new" and awe-inspiring feel to the first game. The Presidium had a fantastic, iconic music theme...really did "space opera" well. It also had a cool investigative theme to it.



The music on the wards (or @ C-sec, anyway) was wonderfully quirky, futuristic, and "alien." Overall I think I think the ME2 soundtrack is better for sheer number of quality tracks (in ME1 had some great tracks, but there were others that lagged behind), but ME1's soundtrack is still very memorable.



I will be doing an analysis of the Tali theme track from ME2 on the Tali forum link in my signature. I found that there were many things in the track that are notable and pertain to Tali and Quarians in many well done ways. And other muses. It's also one of my favorites (not just because I like the character).



Here's something I didn't like from ME1. The Deus Ex Machina that was Vigil.

I was just looking at all the other character support threads in comparison to this one...I knew Tali would be in the lead by a lot but this si just a complete blow out.We have almost 10,000 pages!
