The Marines do not offer you a choice in jobs when you join. You take what they give. Two the Marines have a very bad history with treatment of wounded warriors.

Well, if I were interested in benefits and money and whatnot, than I would probably try for an easier job that didn't require dodging bullets and getting yelled at by superiors.



I can understand why you wouldn't prefer it, but I'm not necessarily interested in those things. Kind of felt like something I should do regardless of the outcomes.

Seth it has nothing to do with dodging bullets or getting yelled at. That happens in both. The difference is you don't pick your job. Say you actually want to be a trigger man kicking in doors and what not. But in the Marines if that's what you want better hope your asvab scores say you should do that otherwise you might get stuck at a desk. The Army let's you pick your job so if you want to be Infantry the only way to guarantee your job is the Army. But enough of that.
