New tali artwork.

I like the suit design.

I like it. Looks a lot like Ash's armor.

Sad that an alien knows more about human loyalty than the human supremacist does.

"If they're backs are against the wall, they'll abandon us."

Funny one, Ash. Because Garrus and Tali are right behind me... Wrex is building me a krogan army... and Liara brought me back from the dead...

And you're abandoning me. So, what? Am I your dog Ash? Are you siccing me on the bear? Is that it?

Yes, and she said that at the start of the game. At the start of her first assignment with aliens in general. She'd been previously stuck groundside with little (possibly no) contact with alien species. Realistically anyone in that situation is going to feel the same way, tack on the whole thing with her family's history and her suspicion is completely reasonable.

As for her not joining you at Horizon, she works for the alliance. If she just left her post to hop on Shepard's ship it'd be desertion. Tack on the fact that she's deserting to join a known terrorist organization and everything the last 3 generations of her family have worked towards was for nothing.

edit: and because everyone knows how much I love to talk about Ash in the tali thread, I just want to add she's not even positive that Shepard is even who he says he is. She watched you get blown up, remember?

Didn't someone say something about the entire world going hedonist or something?

I could handle that.

"Shouting and killing and reveling" is the quote.  In the context, it doesn't sound all that great, really.

In context, it's more like walking down the street and ripping somebody's throat out while screaming praises to the Old Ones before killing yourself just because you can.

XVII: The Mire of Madness

Consciousness came slowly to me, and I found myself to have slumped forward in my chair, exhaustion having apparently gotten the best of me. I had laid face down upon the edge of Miss Zorah’s bed, her father’s tome still resting under the fingers of my outstretched hand. Looking at it briefly, it seemed as though we had unaccountably read much further than I recalled from the night before. Indeed, there was little over a quarter of the pages still unturned, though to my still-weary mind only the most general shape of the contents of the earlier portion of the book came easily to memory. Then, with some consternation and a great deal of embarrassment, the full understanding of my mortifying situation struck me. Miss Zorah was still seated upright in bed, watching me with what I felt must be some amusement. Wan sunlight filtered through the drab, threadbare curtains of the small-paned window; I had been here all night.

This is so strange, sexual tension in a Mythos story.

Tali is wounded in battle. Just a scratch, but her suit took some damage. Shepard offers to patch up the suit with Medi-gel.

Some one write a mini-fic.

Go.

Tali: Ah! *writhes a little in pain, but quickly recovers* Shepard help.

*Tali props her self up against her cover, Shepard pops out of cover shooting a couple of Mercs in the head. Then he rushes over to Tali*

Shepard: Hold on tali. *looks over to Garrus* Hey Garrus cover fire.

Garrus: *guns smoking as he drops one merc after another* Though I was already doing that.

*Shepard shakes his head and Laughs to himself*

Shepard: Alright lets see your wound. * Shepard grabs some medi-gel and begins to search for the source of the blood on Tali's leg unitentionally feeling her leg up.*

Tali: Ooh, Really Shepard. Right now. *Tali says in a sultry tone, cringing as he finds the mild wound.*

Shepard giving a slight laugh: No now and not in the near future if this gets infected. *Shepard says smiling while applying the Gel. He then grabs a temporary patch to seal the wound.*

Garrus Annoyed: If you too love birds are quite done......*Garrus pops up killing more mercs.*

Shepard: Alright lets get moving. *He hands Tali her Shot gun and Shepard pulls out his Revenant*

They all rise together a team. Shepards two best Squadmates. Garrus a Turian he considers a brother. Tali his long time friend turned Lover. They will always be there for Shepard as he will for them. They are a Team, and a family.

Forgot the part where Shepard utterly destroys the person who shot Tali.

By hating him.

Now if Shepard wasn't being a complete ****** about it, we might have something here.

Certainly the shock must have shewed on my face when I was confronted by a prompt and vehement round of rejections of this plan. Miss Williams was the first to speak up, noting that without her vehicle and the appropriated truck, it would be a long walk indeed into the marsh and reminded me of the disaster that might have already befallen me without her presence in Professor Newstead’s study. Both Lt. Alenko and his swarthy companion insisted that it was a matter of pride to determine if their erstwhile countrymen had embraced some sort of vile form of ritual and cult, and my old acquaintance hinted that he had dreamed a terrible outcome to the matter, if steps were not taken, though he refused to elaborate. Seeing his haggard appearance in a new light, I did not press the matter. Miss Zorah merely shook her head firmly in quiet insistence that she would not be deterred from seeing things through.

Inspector Vakarian summed up the general feeling for the others best, perhaps: “Shepard, you are a fine chap and a gentleman besides. But having seen what I’ve seen, I couldn’t say the same of myself if I showed the white feather now. I’m your man.”

With the support such stalwart friends in the face of dangers unknown, my spirits could not help but be lifted, though the shadow of the nightmares faced less than half a day before still weighed heavily on me. Here I had found fellow scholars and seekers after knowledge tried sorely yet undaunted by the terrors already witnessed. Without them, and the original assistance of Miss T’soni, there is no one who could say what might have happened. Perhaps I would have remained in blissful ignorance until the end. There are many things I would as soon forget about all that has transpired since the day Miss Zorah entered my office at Miskatonic University, but the friendships I renewed and found along that hellish path to what must be my ultimate destination are not among them.

The concision is a bit noticable, but I may just be nitpicking.

Or Bioware writes you out of the story because it was possible you died in the last game and they need to come up with some lame excuse as to why they can't design a loyalty mission for a potentially dead team member.

edit: you'll know how that feels when ME3 comes around.

That little section is kinda short because it was difficult to fit it with the other sections seemlessly.  It's a problem of division of tonight's "chapter" I think.
