Okay, since last few days I've been 'working' with Buddha, shamelessly trying to persuade him into writing later something STALKER-ish. In the meantime I was able to made list of the characters for that eventual story. So... tell me what do you think:

-------------
Characters:

Constantine Shepardev (also known as 'Watcher') - veteran guide; knows very well various secrets of the Zone

Talia Zoravoh ('Pilgrim') - because of her gender, she almost always hides her face behind gasmask or a visor; wants to go to the Zone in search of her father (rather experienced stalker), who had gone missing; also wants to be a stalker; despite young age, technical genius

Garrik Vakarieniev ('Patience') - ex-military; unlike the rest, helped stalkers a lot with their bandit problems; finally got fed up, arranged communication breakdown and deserted; hunts both bandits and mutants; sympathizes with Dolg, gets occasionaly paid by them

'Wrex' (no data about real name) - former member of Dolg and Freedom; rather reclusive; known for his 'hard head' for any alcohol beverages, as well as his signature weapon - heavily modified Protecta Bulldog; has a domesticated pseudodog named Urz

Kaidan 'Nice' Alenkovich - technician working in Rostok; smart guy, knows how to practically apply discoveries made by science teams; well-mannered, too

Ashley Williams - former member of UN expedition; now works as a military stalker

Docent Liara T'Soni - works as an assistant for Professor Sakharov in Yantar

'Legionnaire' (no data about real name) - former member of the Monolith; regained his 'old self' after the destruction of C-Consciouness; now wanders through the Zone without any goal

'Khan' (as above) - lone mercenary assassin; has a strict moral creed about choosing contracts

Rael Zorahov - father of Talia and quite experienced stalker; tried to reach the center of the Zone, died in a Monolith ambush

Lt. Samarova - big rarity in the zone: female member of the Duty; was subject of few rape attempts... until others have learned not to mess with her; possesses large hatred towards both bandits and mutants; mother of two daughters: one killed by mutants (hence her hatred), for second - see 'Morinth' entry

'Morinth' (no data about real name - word itself in one of the old dialects means literaly 'monster') - daughter of Lt. Samarova, mutated by the Zone; possesses Controler- and Burer-like abilities; complete outlaw

Kasumi 'The Elusive' (lack of information about last name) - female member of Freedom; acts as a scout and - much rarer - sniper; smart and agile, seems to be completely 'untouchable' by those trying to kill her (hence her nickname); possesses rather cheerful and optimistic personality

Raelyanna Zorahov (Raela in short) - Talia's sister, went to the Zone with her father; seems to have survived Monolith's ambush that killed her father, though her fate is unknown; rumors tell about new girl hanging around certain group of stalkers which seems to be made from former members of the Monolith...

I don't have a home.

Your arguement is invalid.

So you were touching yourself and crying in public, then?

Yeah, we've all been there.

You know what? Making YOU sick? That's reward enough.

Oh, how fondly I shall remember this moment.

I actually feel as though I've accomplished something meaningful tonight.

Jones, I have news for you.

I've found a surrogate Alistair.

Don't encourage him!

Quick question CC, for The Guide.  What would you "canon" Shepard be?  I'm using this format:

(With Buddha being the example:)

Hale Shepard, Paragon, Earthborn, War Hero, Infiltrator

Could ask the same of you, Azint ol' buddy, ol'pal.

Short version is my desktop has been messed up all to hell and Best Buy's had it for almost 2 weeks now with no sign of me getting it back anytime soon. Been using my laptop to get online, but the laptop freezes up after 20 minutes of use or so.

Well my phase for teenage depression was long overdue, so it finally came. I shook it off by taking up cigarettes.

Well, it appears we're all here again. This is good news, yes?

You know, Nuke, the worst part of not having reliable internet is knowing that I've been missing a HUGE chunk of your story.
Damn the Internet! Without it I might never have known what I was missing!

Dude.

Human breasts?

Or Quarian breasts?

You want the ones any old human can have, that JACOB got to play with first?

Or will you risk life and limb to boldly go where no man has gone before? To seek out new worlds, and extend humanity's reach to the heavens, and beyond?

For love. For victory. For Freedom.

For DEM ALIEN BOOBS.

Huh. That's odd. My last laptop stopped connecting to internet pages after about 20 minutes of use.

I remember being able to reset the laptop every time and being able to use the internet for another 20 minutes, before it froze up again. What specifically happens? Does your computer actually freeze? Or is it just the internet?
