I must admit, I don't find that... genre to be especially interesting.  I understand the appeal, it just doesn't apply to me.  I tend to lean towards books such as American Empire: Blood and Iron.  

But I skip around too.  Will remember it, in the future...

I used to read Turtledove, but then I ragequit at the pointless emotional manipulation in that one fantasy WWII series of his.  Never again.
