True. It could fall under the umbrella of simple character development, but I think her's was much more well-executed than,say, Liara or Kaidan.

I also think it has something to do with that she's the only quarian in the first game, and that made some people interested in her. Because she was of this race that they've never seen or heard of before. And that she's very pretty in that suit.

Yeah, the general alien advantage.  All of the human characters start out at a disadvantage because of being inherently less interesting than the new aliens around them.

I didn't let him kill Saul Kerath, under the ploy that it was the Light Side thing to do but mostly because I thought it was funny.

That's pretty much the setup for almost all movies that director has done.

Of course. They wanted femShep to have some tough choices. Otherwise, every single one of the would've gone with Garrus, because a choice between a badass vigilante, who's also a turian or the Cerberus grunt with racial slurs and a very corny personality, is a no-brainer.
