Through the magic of forgetting-what-chapter-I-was-actually-on-two-weeks-ago I already read chapter 4!
Now, to read chapter 5... Let's hope there aren't any interruptions.

It won't hurt ya to reread them all, as I may have added extra bits here and there. :P

Like, this;

”Relax Tali, it's not a big deal,” he said with a yawn and started to pull his shirt off. He was in the midway of the procedure when Tali returned and gripped his shirt, yanking it away with a force. Shepard almost fell from the chair and started to mutter something incoherent.
"Didn't know quarian womens were so fierce to see a man without a shirt," Shepard smirked after he had regained his balance.

”Shut up,” she snapped, as her cheeks flushed at his remark. ”And stay still,” Tali chided him as she applied more medi-gel on the wound, now completely sealing it.

Hah!
And I just read 'em all.
Loved all the references in the final chapter, especially since I read all of those fics before.
To be fair, your fic was a bit short, and I thought Tali's leaving might've been elaborated a bit more, but aside from that, it was some excellent writing. And above all, a unique, and interesting plot. (I don't think I've ever read a fic where Tali seriously goes through with leaving Shepard)

Damn you for adding another number to mah counter (your sneak peek); however, I've only got 63 updates left now! (And 6 chapters on FF.net)
*fistpump*

Thank you. ^_^

The leaving was first supposed to be retold by Tali in the sickbay, but I got better (at least I think so) ideas for there. But don't worry, all will be revealed in time. B)

Also, that was my first and the longest fics done in 3 to 4 years, with totally new background. (ME)

It's pretty good Thelacan. Considering how it went in the first couple of chapters, I didn't actually want to finish it. It was hitting my ragequit button pretty hard. Then it got better. It has my approval.

And I am glad so many liked my newest short story. It just sort of sprang up outta nowhere from a discussion being had earlier in the thread. Lightning struck, and all that. I had to write it.

Ah, uhdnrt.
I think I'm going to the stories I missed from you now. (Already read your "minifics" though)
edit: Hrrm, only one I haven't read yet, "Dark Side of the Wards", leaving 61 updates now.

lol well TK Dude just did the same thing. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. Anyways, 3 manly tears and 1 debris falling in Jones' eye later I guess is conclusive enough.

Glad you liked it Goat.   It feels good to know I can get such a positive response from a story.

I would say "That reminded me of Raela...you both are wonderful d'awww inducers"

Well, I am a proponent of the adoption process for Shep/Tali pairings (Shep/Garrus and Shep/Jack as well).  And having a little girl was just the sort of D'aaaw that the story needed.  Maybe because I'd like to have a daughter of my own. *shrug*  But once the inspiration struck for the story, I could not help myself - it had to be written.

Really?  Brawling has two chapters (one entry), and Uncomfortable Conversations as well.  I also added the final chapter of book one of the This and That series.  Did you already read them? "Dark Side" and Memories and Beginnings were posted on the same day.

I too, am a proponent of adoption with Tali 'n Shepard.
But there's still a huge part of me that wants to see how BioWare'd explain biological babies.

Though arguably, it would be possible to engineer a quarian's DNA (preferably Tali's, add some randomizing to that, and you'd be fine) to assume some of Shepard's DNA's traits (the quarian equivalent of those, of course). And this is possible within the ME universe. (Miranda and her sister are living proof of the capabilities of genetic engineering in the future)

You read all of them eventually? And you still don't hate me fiercely? :wizard:

And your newest short story was teh Jackpot for me. I was just so... can't even find the words! I feel like I was hit by shock and awe-tactics from a platoon of Abrams tanks.

I read both Brawling's chapters, but I didn't read Memories and Beginnings, I assumed it was that "No more shallow graves" story...
So yeah, more reading it is!

The chirality issue is the big problem.  Although Miracle Mordin could probably fix that.  Even then....

I suggested the same thing awhile ago. People in the thread started raging.  GL, Tali-speed.

Exactly. I had the idea for my story a long time ago, but sometime ago when we had some discussion in the thread of having some darker stories in overall sparked me to write it. To show and make people feel the rollercoaster.

Some posters have sensitive rage buttons for certain topics. I thankfully, do not. Still, such a plot smacks too much of Deus Ex Machina, and far too contrived for the ME universe. If they were both of he similar chirality, and had similar genetic makeup? I could possibly be convinced. But, there are no in universe examples of such cross species breeding, and not information about the genetics of each species, to give it proper speculation.

I also don't see Shepard being willing to risk Tali with something experimental, especially when adoption would allow them to raise a family and ease the burden on the fleet.
