The chirality issue is the big problem. Although Miracle Mordin could probably fix that. Even then....

Haha! Fix chirality!
Now, you may say that because quarians and humans looks so similair (in silouette, general facial structure (the lips, eye shape, etc.) and gender dimorphism, that is) all you'd have to do is "fix the chirality issue".
However, considering that chirality depends which way the DNA strand turns, human and quarian DNA is effectively mirrored. Now, considering both use amino-acids as a base, and assuming that both are dual-strand (We can't even know that for sure, perhaps quarians have triple-strand DNA. Like the Protheans have quad-strand.), both have the same number of chromosomes and both have the same length. We're going to assume they use the same method of arrangement (the Prothean DNA looked similair enough, and it's both referred to as -DNA-), it would effectively take a completely different structure to achieve the same traits in "mirror effect", so "fixing chirality" e.g. making them both levo, would result in something
completely different.
So it would still require an immense ammount of engineering to create something
remotely viable (and I don't even mean viable for impregnation, I mean viable to
live when somehow succesfully implanted into an empty cell (yes, we can do that, we can do that right now)).
But hey, we've got the perfect engineer, no?
I'm sure she's proficient in other forms of engineering as well!

edit: Awwww, crud, I killed the thread, didn't I?

No, Tali, I'm sorry!
