Fair enough I guess, but the game leaves to much room for interpretation, so some run with it.

This is the answer to all of those "why 'this'" questions.  The game doesn't give us much to go on, and even after ME3, we'll probably only know what her face looks like.  Everyone is pretty much free to see whatever they want in the character.  They can choose to leave them blank, since the game hasn't given us the true story, or you can interpret whatever you want, or think is likely.  Its not like everyone has to agree on everything, some people like space elves, some people want purple skin, some people want purring, its all just extra stuff to a character that we all like

No one can handle TIM's pointy shoulders of doom.  But I saw an expanded version that he was in.  EDIT, like the one above :V

Agreed.  Ignoring the limited LI thing, it was just good composition.  Now Shepard and Garrus are standing in a way that doesn't draw your eye into the center, which is pleasing in the first version.

I like the newer one just because it takes into consideration there is a squad of 12. The artist's original artwork, though, is far beyond anything he's shown here. Probably the Liara artwork is the only one that comes close.

If I remember correctly, that was just a photoshop job, and the artist really only did two versions.
