No. Jack isn't just about survival. If that was the case, once Aresh was dead, she'd have left. She got what she needed. Why bother going on a suicide mission? Jack also has a sense of loyalty, if you look close enough, even without romancing her. You've done a lot for her, more than anyone else, and she feels like she owes you. She'll stand by you, I think.

I see Jack as being like Shepard's little sis. She's a handful, crazy, and annoying and abrasive, but at the end of the day? Ain't no one ****ing with her big bro.

A. she went because she agreed to when Shep gave her a lift/sheltered her from the law/helped her on Pragia.
B. she went because as she says "kill them before they kill us."

I would suggest that she never believed it was a suicide mission.  She's already survived stuff that would have killed someone a dozen times over, after all.  She has faith in her own survival.
