Riptide, which part? I love Miranda's character, but her actual romance leaves me cold. This subjects me to some good natured ribbing on her thread. I finally got around to watching Tali's romance scene on Youtube and decided I liked it.

I always have Reeger fight.

If you kill the Colossus fast enough, Reeger will live.

It's SO ****ING EPIC that way. Charging into battle... knowing if you don't keep moving forward someone is gonna die... it's amazing.

Wish the Suicide mission had more moments like that.

Oh. I have a visible disabilty, so it really struck me when she talked about most people not seeing past the helmet, so she has to make them  understand what she means. I identify with her and her suit issues, and the romance presents an appealing fantasy.

Pretty much, though if I had the option, I'd skip the whole walking from the landing zone to the battlefield part and just jump from the shuttle when it hovers above it. (Utilising biotics to dampen my fall, which would look something like this)
Then proceed to kill every synthetic in my direct vicinity, once my shields start dropping, I'll just climb the wall ask Kal'Reegar where the fuck Tali is, tell him to back off, then proceed to crush/punch/charge/blast the Colossus to death.
And considering Tali doesn't know I'm coming, unable to open the door for me, I'd just take the door from it's hinges, resulting in Tali presuming it's the geth falling in, her picking up her shotgun, convincing herself it couldn't end this way, regretting she'd never told Shepard how she felt; before she notices his sillouette, then the rest of his features, and falls into his arms crying, whipering "I knew you'd come, thank you".
All while wearing either a pure white/pure silver N7 armour or the Blood Dragon armour.

Oh, and my normal Shep is an Infiltrator, but as indicated by his ability to use Reave, he is an extremely powerful biotic, he's just too much of a badass to use them on a daily basis. ("Takes away from the challenge")

Riptide, the "girl nurses an unrequited crush on a guy for years and he finally reciprocates" is one of my least favorite romance plots ever. I still don't like that aspect, but it's executed about as well as it could possibly be. As for why I Youtubed, my preference is for FemSheps and I wanted to make sure another MaleShep run was worth my time.
