You know... after seeing that Shepard was listed as KIA in the teaser trailer... I thought he dropped off the grid... or Cerberus had faked is death and taken him for interrogation... and that the game started with your old squad rescuing you from a cell after being tortured. Similar to Marcus Fenix's introduction, you don't see Shepard in the light until his gear is on, mask included, and they fight out of the prison as the tutorial level with just a pistol and no powers, finding new squadmates along the way and reintroducing you to them. Getting back to the ship and undergoing reconstructive surgery, Shepard would be allowed to edit his face and talents here.



But... seeing as that didn't happen... I think it's viable for 3...

It shows your old LI first, they're the ones who bring you your gear. Fighting through the facility, imagine Shepard's reaction to seeing Wrex, Liara, and Ash/Kaiden. It would REALLY do a lot to heal the damage from 2 if they have them charging in to rescue you like that...

Instead of Shepard saving Tali, I think it would be awesome to have her save him.

Works for all the LIs...

Tali shotguning people and taking them out with Quarian Martial Arts...

Garrus charging in like a badass, headbutting and shooting with prescision...

Jack ****ing Cerberus up left and right...

Miranda and Jacob taking out their former partners with biotics...

Thane running through the halls, diving, dodging, and shoot people in the kneecaps... No mercy for anyone who hurts his Siha...

Liara charging in Jack Style, ****ing up everything that moves...

Kaiden and Ash... running in with an M8, taking down people with tactical precision...

It would be glorious...
