I don't know if anyone told you yet, because the thread is too fast for my sleepy self, but you can take quizzes to earn points for the games you don't have registered. There are links to them in the contest rules.

That's exactly what I did for ME/Awakening.  Doing all of those (and the character creator) can start you at just under 6k points.
