Same exact boat .... about 8500 tokens and only 1 win on twitter. some people have won like 10 times

Seriously, it just said thanks for being an Xbox live member here is a code for 400 points. I went online redeemed the code and lo and behold it really was for 400 points.

I just got one of those, too. Did they recently send you a survey (yesterday or the day before, I think) that you filled out?

No, I am a member of some thing where you get MS points by being a gold member and buying stuff though. That and I just bought some points with my CC the other day. So one of those two things must have triggered this.

The Xbox Live Rewards Program thing, yeah. I'm just a Silver member, but they put me into it as well. Sent me a survey yesterday or the day before, I filled it out, and then I got the 400 points just a half-hour ago or so.

I also got a code for two free months of Gold awhile back, but I've kept that around until I might actually use it.

Yeh that must be it, I got that Gold freebie too (bc I myself am only silver). Figure I would save the gold until their is a demo that I really want to try.
