I don't think the toke count was inflated it's just that 2 things are happening:

1) EVERYONE is at home and with more free time due to the week being over.
2) All the people with high expectation that were holding their credits for a computer or graphics card or a miracle are now realizing that if they don't settle for less they'll be left empty handed due to the awards starting to run out.

This is exactly what I said would happen last night.....

sniping seems to be the only way because everyone seems to think that they can save tokens for something...

if one simply bids what they have then they will win it if they have more than others do who want that item.


the concept of snipe protection is also false in a way...

this concept only matter for you if you are the one with more tokens.. in which case in theory you could have put that total down to begin with and gotten same result.

True this doesn't seem very much like an auction. It seems more like people standing around saying "hey look my tokens are bigger then your tokens."

Exactly its all a popularity contest. Bioware is paying all of us for the advertising, and many are going around unpaid.

Yup and bundling things only made it worse.

Yeah. When this started I thought that there would be some single items.

All the big packs were so far out of my reach, that yesterday was the first day I could even get a bid on the screen before the total went too high. At least I felt like I was participating for the first time in the entire week.  Ha, ha, ha.....

I'm probably done now that I've missed my chance for the hoodie again, so I just want to say that while I haven't posted much beyond begging for clicks, its been wonderful to follow this community for the past few days. I wouldn't presume to consider myself a part of it as I haven't added much in the way of content, but I really admire the camaraderie of all of you. It's a great community.

I understand the feeling but trust me anyone that's put in the hours that a lot of folks (yourself included) should be proud of what we have accomplished here. While it's the catalyst the auctions themselves were not the "community" event, threads like this one were.

As much as I'm debating an all-nighter to see if token spending drops, I'm leaning more to the side that it makes more sense to give it up and not bother. 93-- probably still isn't going to win jack.
