 Your link isn't working, that might be it. It ends up with a superfluous %20 in it. (And is half of anyone else's profile options mysteriously in Cyrillic?)

If Bioware was going to have this format of auctioning, they should have made it be several single items in the same 15 minute period and you can only bid in one of them at a time. That way all the 10k+ people would be all over the PCs and 1TB HDD, while the rest of us under the 9000 mark could be fighting it out over a set of books or game soundtrack.

But as soon as someone bid 12k, the people under 12k would treat the "other" item just as they would if it went up any other time.

But they wouldn't be able to if they had already placed a bid on the high-end stuff.  If they placed a bid on the PC/HDD/etc. they'd be locked into that auction only until the end of that 15 minute period, even if their's isn't the largest bid.
