Haha, I can actually rememer when we didn't have the Internet. We connected to other peoples computers who had a BBS setup. Ahh, Dial up connection with a 300 baud modem, those were the Dark Ages. Lol!

Dial up connections, oh God. That brings up some good memories. Laggy online games of Age of Empires and Jedi Knight: Dark Forces. Good times those.

I almost miss the dial tone as the modem would connect.

I remember dial up, it seem fast back then

I'm probably one of the old timers here at 38 years of age. Haha! Yeah, I remember going from a 300 baud modem to a 1200 baud and remember thinking, "Wow, that is SO much faster." Lol!

still have a 300 baud hayes in a box in the garage one where you had to put the phone handset in the modem cradle...got it from my Dad until I could afford a blindingly fast 2400 baud modem

I wish that I had taken a screenshot of what I found when returning to my browser tab listing all the auctions: the one at the top said "No Bids Placed" under the High Bid column. Of course, hit reload and that was no longer true!
