The other upside with the 360 is that when you stick a game it, it generally works. It doesn't tell you that you have an incompatible video card.

^^ this!  The only game I play on my PC anymore is WoW (well probably the new civilzation, too).  Xbox is just so much easier

I really need to consider getting Xbox; I've been a bit of a PC purist and I ran into that "unknown video card" issue an hour ago with Oblivion installation.

I played both Oblivion and Fallout 3 on 360 first. Now that I'm playing them on PC as well, I'm loading them up with GBs of mods lol.

That's the beauty of PC gaming, mods and addons, mostly for free.

The "everything in the BioWare store" prize was mine for the taking and I let someone else take it so I could make a bid for the PCs.

That doesn't mean your video card is bad, it just means that Oblivion doesn't recognize it. It came out in 2006, it generally doesn't recognize anything past the Nvidia 7 series/ATi X1000 series. My 4850 is "unrecognized" and it works fine.

Good to know.  I thought I was just doing something idiotic because I'm so groggy.

Most aren't even eligible or active, so that doesn't really count. Same goes for twitter followers. I guess BW won't tell how many real participants are out there now though. Still, even from the eligible ones most won't win anything, so I'm glad so many of you here did.  Anyway, I didn't came here for a discussion.

It was an incredibly honorable and gentlemanly thing to do; there was conversation over bidding deference instead of a snipe from cover.

There is nothing dumb about going for what you really want, especially if you have most other stuff already anyway.

heh I will probably switch to PC gaming when I get my new computer in 2-3 months first games I plan on getting are TF2, ME1 or ME2, and Oblivion



360 player till then and might even hook the controller up to the PC for easier transition
