It's not necessarily pointless, being able to play games fine on the go is a nice advantage. And from what I understand, this laptop is superior to Merlin's current computer anyway. It's a good laptop, good enough to play any game out there just fine.

11.6k seems kind of low for an ATI card at this time when the very last prizes are slipping away. I would be extremely surprised if there aren't snipers in the 12k or 13k ranges.

I'll disagree with that. I'm a pc gamer and I use a gaming laptop.

An ASUS G72GX-RBBX05 to be exact. This thing even runs Crysis. And it doesn't have a piddly little 11" screen like that Alienware. This thing has a beast 17.3" 16:9 widescreen lol

Gaming lappys are becoming more and more popular, especially so because the technology is allowing more features normally found on a desktop which is helping to close the gap between laptop and desktop gaming.
