The major problem with gaming laptops is the non-existant battery life and heat... you can get really good ones these days but they're absolute bricks that require being plugged in 24/7

Yeah, but it just means you can't play demanding games outside or something, it's not a big deal. The battery life is fine as long as you aren't gaming.
