I'm just happy I was able to get a bid in, even though I knew I wouldn't win.

I feel the same way.  I have been able to actually bid twice, of course both times I lost, but oh well.

Hey, it's another DA novel pack. Bids for this shouldn't be quite as high.

hopefully, but its already more than what I got mine for.

I doubt it will go too high because in my very humble opinion(it is OK shut up) any true fan of DAO already owns these two novels. I had them shortly after each released.

Well I am a cheapo so yea wasn't happening lol. But I am glad I finally won em! I have wanted to read them for a while.

Well it's already higher than it's ever been, mine included. Also, I never was able to play Dragon Age, so this is a good way to get myself introduced to it.

Yeah I don't read much anymore, and generally I don't read books based on video games, I don't trust them as being "quality" reads, though I have heard both the DA and ME ones are particularly good

Ya a gaming laptop is kind of pointless. Any decent computer gamer is gonna be using a desktop

not college gamers need the laptop to use for portability

I don't have a desktop so I play from my laptop.  Probably a far cry from ideal, but it works well enough. =]

The major problem with gaming laptops is the non-existant battery life and heat... you can get really good ones these days but they're absolute bricks that require being plugged in 24/7

My laptop is an ugly 16lb brick with battery life of 1-1.5 hours.  I always have to carry the power supply around.

How much did you spent on the gaming laptop just wondering?

It's actually a work laptop, not sure how much was spent on it.

So its kinda free then good for you.

The Resident Evil books series was fantastic. Same with the Starcraft series and the HALO series.

:3  *raises hand*  Managed to slip in a bid on an earlier Jade Empire pack.

Then someone overshadowed mine and bidded nearly twice as much.

nice, mine is like the desktop version of that. I've got the 23" Asus monitor and a Saitek eclipse II to go with the box so it looks nice and cool like yours :D

I'm a huge fan of Dragon Age, picked up "The Stolen Throne" some months after purchasing the game (which I purchased on release day and lived and breathed for three full months playing nothing else) - let's say February, I think, is when I read it - and am in no rush to pick up "The Calling."

So, sir, I bite my thumb at thee.

I'm at client sites and running around a lot so I needed a laptop, but for some of the stuff I had to do on the road I was having a lot of trouble with my original laptop, so our tech guru basically ordered me this brick of a notebook.  And then gave me DA:O and Awakening (haven't played Awakening yet) and said I should play them.  :P
