Since I'm no technoman, what's better? Yours - the Core 2 Duo - or the one with the Core i5?

Honestly, since most games don't take advantage of 2 cores, let alone 4, it doesn't really matter. Sure I cant run everything maxed out at 60fps but I play BC2 multiplayer at 30-40fps with everything max (except shadows low and HBAO off) with 2x AA.

and DAO happens to be a game that will use all 4 core on a Quad

Core i5 is a core i7 with a dual channel memory controller and no turbo mode. So yeah, it's far better than a core 2 duo. However, very few apps/games take advantage of a quad core. BBC2 is one of those few titles.

Very few, if any, people won more than one item - and you are allowed two.

That "as determined soley" basically allows them to choose someone else if they notice the next highest winner spent all their tokens in another auction.

But yes, an interesting situation would be:

Bidder A makes a bid for 16,000 tokens on a high value prize
Bidder B makes a bid for 17,000 tokens on a high value prize
No other bids were registered.

Bidder A wins another high value prize later.

Bidder B is disqualified.

In that case, I suppose they wouldn't have much choice but to give both prizes to Bidder A?

Another situaton might be a 7,000ish point person bidding 20 tokens as a joke, then someone bidding 17,000 (locking out all other bids) and then being disqualified.
In that case, a 7,000ish token bidder (or less) could win a high value prize.

I don't even play much, really. The PC games I have are the Dawn of War games, the Total War games, and I think I have The Witcher flopping around somewhere.

I just like pretty things.
