Totally true - but they put the value of the mouse pads as if the typo were true - making the overall contest winnings look higher (in dollar value) than actual reality! DEVIOUS! THE FIENDS!

I can't believe they didn't auction off all of the glasses. That makes me really upset. If they had changed their number from 12 to 8, I would have jumped ship a long time ago and tried to get something else.

Maybe there's a bonus round after this, it's the only explanation I can think of.
