They are all working for me now and thank you for adding my name.

I am curious to see what the laptops go for when they go up. Kinda curious what is the most points some one has so far.

since I don't even know what a solid state drive is (and it is too pricey already) I probably shouldn't bid LOL

Over the evening a guy bid over 9k+ on two auctions and won them both.  I'm pretty sure he cheated though, so we shall see.

think you put like your operating system on it and it works with your hard drive to boot faster and run more optimally?

SSD is the future technology of hard drives. it is much faster and afaik, has no moving parts, which means it is going to last a lot longer. SSD is still pretty expensive so this is pretty nice.

Solid state drive is like a big flash drive. It doesnt use moving parts and allows for much much faster read and write times. Also doesn't fragment as easily. Basically faster and more efficient.

Earlier on the first PC that went up, I had seen some one bid 14000, when I checked the final bids it had been deleted.Any one else notice that?

It's actually very cool, I'm surprised the bids on it are so low.

Yup there was a big uproar in this thread about it.  Somone must have been caught cheating.  I'm waiting to see what happens when more BioWare meployees come back on and check some of these winners from over the evening.

Operating Systems use less that 5gb usually. There's mor than enough space for an OS and numerous programs that you would want to run faster.

yup, i won't buy SSD until i can get at least 1tb for a cheap price - so i'll be waiting about 3-5 years :x

Yeah, I just googled it, so it is basically a better, faster, less fragile hard drive - the future is fast approaching
