I know there are different versions like Blue and Green, I believe.. at least for a Gaming PC, Black was always recommended to me. It may be the best quality of the three. This is all speculation though, but I imagine there is a valid difference between the different series ^.^

Hopefully someone with more technical expertise can correct me!

EDIT: A quick google produced this...

Green: Slowest, quietest, lowest power 

Blue: Standard drive 

Black: Performance tuned, faster, potentially noisier and more power hungry 

Reliability on the source is tomshardware, though random users, though it was repeated three times in the single thread...

WD Black drives are often a bit louder, but higher performance.  Green drives are quiet and reduce power consumption, therefore they are eco-friendly, or "green".

The "color" of the drive is not the physical color of it. Its a different version. The Caviar series has Green (Eco friendly, low power lower speed), Blue (Typical hard drive), Black(Better quality, typically faster, etc.)

You can always click "past" auctions to scan what has gone by. But the quick answer to your question is, no. The lowest was just recently, 9040 for a poster pack. <--- Don't worry, link is not my brc. I'm not that cunning. The link is to the item I've described. Good morning though and good luck!

Yeah wonder how much one of the 300 GB Velociraptor drives would go for in tokens?  About $300 online.
