I think it's people who can appreciate a good story. Bioware builds their gameplay to support a premise. Bungie builds their premise to support their gameplay.

 Not all halo fans are that bad. The guys who genuinly love Bungie and the universise they have built around halo are pretty cool people for the most part. The guys who only log on to play multi and tea bag people....well those are the guys everyone remembers.

Well all I'm saying is that Bungie has announced that their philosophy is that they build gameplay then ask their writers to make something up to make that gameplay work. Which is why the stories are kind of disjuncted.

It's funny, they posted a job offer for writers that "have no desire for their work to be published as a novel or as an original screenplay". They're looking for people to do what their told, storywise. It's just a big difference from how Bioware does it.
