The 1.3 GHz processor on the laptop still seems... weird to me.
It'd be fine for Source games, but some other modern games would have trouble running, I'd think.

It's been shown to run Modern Warfare 2 just fine.

I'd wait for the destop as well.  The laptop is nice but the desktop looks even better.

That laptop is bottlenecked from the processor. Its not worth 1500$  imo
at the most its worth 500 with that bottleneck.
