So.. If these three were packaged together, it should have gone for 20,000+.... LOGICALLY speaking.

lol just the hoodie and it's up to 10k? Wonder if not everyone read the description/title this time.

I didn't notice that it was just the hoodie, but seeing as it is already going for more than the pack that included the hoodie and then some earlier it is already pretty funny

yeah...the problem is that there's no reason to save. If they could be saved for future promotions, or if you could use them as a discount on store items, then I bet you would see people being alot more conservative.

Frankly, I haven't even tried to make a bid. There's nothing I really wanted except the PC, and I'm not holding my breath on any of those. First thing I see that interests me, I'm going all in.

Part of the whole problem with the auction format is that the way REAL auctions work, is that people bid on an item untill they decide it's not worth the cost. Online...people bid until time is up...causing alot of last minute bumps. If I'm going to lose, I'd like to at least lose because there's nothing else I can do...not because I bid 10000 and someone bid 10001 at the last second.

Is it just me or when when you first saw the hard drive and shirt, you thought the hard drive was a picture on the shirt?

If I had enough tokens, I'd blow it on that seriously cute outfit, even if it is about to be way to hot to wear it properly soon.

It's never too hot to wear a hoodie.

Wow, a 1 TB hard drive? That's pretty expensive to buy, isn't it? Not a bad prize for whoever gets it.

Me, I'm sitting at a little over 6,000 and am rapidly losing hope of getting anything. :P

Click to give me fakebux?

No it really isn't that expensive; hundred dollars give or take.

I dunno, that seems like a pretty good prize for basically free. Better than just a t-shirt or poster, at least! Which will also probably end up selling at 10K point, ha

I'm not saying it isn't a good prize but the 5/6 shirt packs are worth more than it haha (price wise).  Personally I'd really like the graphics card.

-Put a cap on the maximum amount of tokens to be received. What SHOULD have been done is community members who have BEEN community members should have had a generous boost to their token pool (6months to a year get 5k tokens extra) that way everyone is on the same playing field who ARE supporters.
-Only allow certain items to be bid on by community members who have been here a certain amount of time or registered their game prior. This ensures no one who doesn't actively support you can win a reward a real fan is looking forward to.

I agree with everything you said except this.  Why should I be penalized for not talking about these games on this forum?  I post regularly on GameFAQs and IGN.  Explain to me how I am less of a fan of BioWare games than you are?

If I win something, awesome.  If not, oh well.

This is easily solved by substituting site member for "game registration".  Simple.  'Nuff said.

The hoodie I can understand.  It was said to be a limited thing.  Which I thought was bad ass, I snagged one a while ago.

lol, nice! For the past few I've been trying to use all 7630 points I have, just so I can at least pretend that I participated. How did that guy manage to get a bid of 10 through?

I agree. I almost bought that hoodie for myself a few weeks ago, but had a hard time justifying $60 for something like that. It'd be neat to win it.

I do have a serious auction question if anyone knows the answer. I have 2 copies of DA:O, XBox and PC. I didn't like the gameplay on XBox and bought another copy. Since I still have BOTH copies, why can't I get tokens for both? It doesn't make sense to me

its so hard for me to believe that a 2000 dollar PC went for ~4000 more points than 100 dollars in clothing or posters...

i think that speaks for itself about how broken the scaling of tokens is in this event.

Keep all this stuff in mind, guys. Later on be sure to bring it up again in a new thread so the BioPeeps can read it and make the contest better for everyone next time.

Also, I'll click yours if you click mine. ^_^
