Go for a graphics card, that's probably the most valuable thing you can snag for ~11k. It retails for $169, and is quite a decent performer if you want to keep it.

The glasses can only help. Even if it doesn't really make the image sharper, its still supposed to take the strain off your eyes which is something I'd find useful even outside of video games. I've spent many long hours staring blankly into a Microsoft Word document, scratching my eyes out of my head.

I couldn't even enter a bid at all until late yesterday; the bids would shoot up so fast in the 1st few seconds that I didn't even meet the minimum bids.  That you can actually get on means that you're in striking range (or you're just a darned fast clicker).

There's no consumer drives that have a higher density than 2TB as far as I'm aware. I believe Hitachi started working on that technology last year, but I haven't heard anything about it. The world is moving towards SSD's anyway. Those are far more expensive for far less space (256GB runs for about $400).

Solid state? Hope work on the security problem for that.

From the description they sound like snake oil or monster cable.

Basically, they take the strain off your eyes that you get after long hours in front of a screen and supposedly make the image sharper, among other things. They don't look half-bad either.

No, the prices will stay pretty similar. you're going to need about ~8500 to have a chance at snagging anything whatsoever. The problem is, as these 9 and 10k people burn out, other people with 7 and 8 k have caught up and are replacing them. So you have to keep earning to be competitive.

Those glasses looked nice. I actually went and looked them up. I spend 2 days a week for about 6-8 hours a day looking at the Maya workspace thats not even counting my personal computer use. Might pick some up even if i can't win them by bidding on them. social.bioware.com/brc/533277
