Well, you have to figure that distribution of points to different players is like a bell curve... just a tiny number of people holding the least and most points, with ever increasing populations moving into the 7000-10000 range. Points totals below a certain number may not actually be worth anything... blowing them on $15 worth of enjoyable novels can't be all bad.
