Sentinel. Well I can't bring myself to play any other class and for all I know it's the worst class to play, but I enjoy it.

I really depends, as the vanguard is a close-range biotic, and the sentnel is a mobile tank.
I prefer vanguard, because I love the biotic charge and shotgun.

I'd say Vanguard. The throw ability is one of the best things it has. You can really save a lot of ammo by just knocking people off ledges and stuff.

Vanguard. Playing through on insanity, and loving it.

Umm, vanguard doesn't have throw. If I recall it has Pull/Charge/Shockwave.
A great combo is to use pull then a heavy charge. They fly pretty damn far.

My first playthrough was as a sentinel on normal dificulty, and my fourth was as a vanguard on hardcore.
They are diferent. Vanguards finish off battles fast, but you will die a lot before you get used to it and charge is only good once it's fully upgraded into heavy charge, and once you do, you will still die a lot but because of more frustating stuff (like the game glitching out and not allowing you to charge an enemy when you need it the most), while sentinels take longer to finish the battles and are quite hard to take down.

Yeah, used against unprotected enemies you're like "Eh? Where did that guy go?"

Vanguard is much more fun IF you like close-quarters combat.

Just finished a playthrough with an ME1 imported Infiltrator respec'd in #2 as a Sentinel. Previous plays with other characters were as Adepts. Tech powers make a nice addition.
Definitely liking the Sentinal's durability. My play style is more short to medium range so Vanguard never really worked for me. Holo-armor is a nice touch. Focusing more mid-range makes it last longer.
Still juggling through bonus skills to find a good "crowd control" power for my FemShep. So far, Reave maxed out for area effect seems to work best except for a Husk wave. The "zombies" don't freeze and start convulsing like the "live ones" do. They keep coming 'til they drop. Still get a nice health boost out of it, though.
But then, a hail of rifle and smg fire makes for a great Plan B.

Depends on your style of combat, if you like upclose go with vanguard, if not then sentinal.

Hmmm if I do go sentinel im going to miss inferno ammo but I also like reave on the other hand the locus is turning my vanguard into a range class(locus is making me forget about shotgunning and I fear Im losing my touch as a vanguard)

Remember: Just because the locust is new and shiny does not mean you HAVE to use it.
